Yan Yining, Vice Dean and Professor of School of Journalism and Communication at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), research fellow of SISU's Center for Global Public Opinion on China, Ph.D. of Communication at Fudan University, visiting scholar at University of Florida. Her research interest lies in Global Communication. Major publications include books like National Interest and International Opinion: An Empirical Study of U.S. Opinion on China,Professional English for Journalism and Communication, Broadcasting Journalism and around 30 papers in important academic journals. She is in charge of research projects respectively supported by National Social Science Research Foundation, Shanghai Social Science Research Foundation, Shanghai Education Commission’s Research Foundation and National Committee of Ethnic Affairs. She has got Social Science Academic Award from National Committee of Ethnic Affairs and four awards for academic publications from SISU. She was also once the Leader of the Research and Innovation Team on International Opinion Studies at SISU. Her teaching focuses on International Journalism and English news reporting. Yan is in charge of a New Liberal Arts Research and Reform Project supported by Ministry of Education. She has also led a Key Project of Undergraduate Teaching Reform and a Key Project of Course Teaching in Shanghai Colleges, both supported by Shanghai Education Committee. Yan has won First and Second Prize of Teaching Achievements, titles of First Class Course for Undergraduates and two All-English Model Course for Foreign College Students,all awarded by Shanghai Education Committee.
