On the afternoon of March 28, 2025, Dr. Allison Hui from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Lancaster University, UK, visited Shanghai International Studies University, engaging in an interactive exchange with students from the Overseas Cooperation Program.
Dr. Allison Hui delivered a dedicated lecture for students enrolled in the 2+2 Humanities undergraduate program jointly offered by the Overseas Cooperation College and Lancaster University. She introduced the advantages of studying in the UK, provided an overview of Lancaster University, and detailed the academic, living, and career support available to international students. Dr. Hui also patiently answered students’ questions during the session.
Lancaster University, founded in 1964 and located in Lancashire, in the northwest of England, is a public research university and a member of the UK's “plate glass universities.” It is also part of the N8 Research Partnership, the European University Association, and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

It is reported that Lancaster University plans to introduce three new business-related degree programs — in Accounting and Finance, Economics, and Business Economics — to its collaborative program with Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), offering more academic options for students intending to study in the UK.
