The second council meeting of the 16+1 Think Tank Network

The second council and the first academic committee meeting of the China-CEEC Think Tank Communication and Cooperation Network (16+1 Think Tank Network) were held at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing on Feb.14.School of Russian and Eurasian Studies of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) becomes the new member of the 16+1 Think Tank Network. Professor Xu Hong, dean of the School of Russian and Eurasian Studies was appointed as one of the directors of the new council.

16+1 Think Tank Network includes key departments and institutions which consist of experts and scholars with high academic reputation and popularity in the industry.

School of Russian and Eurasian Studies becoming the council member of the network would help curriculum development of SISU, especially that of Central and Eastern European Languages, said Qian Qin, director of the department of Central and Eastern European Languages from School of Russian and Eurasian Studies.

“We should take the advantage of joining the 16+1 Think Tank Network to cultivate inter-disciplinary talents with skills in cross-cultural communication,” Qian said.
