SISU MBA center opens to international students of dual degree program

The MBA Center of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) gave one-day orientation to international students who first joined SISU-ESIC International MBA (IMBA) program on March 1, 2016.


The MBA, jointly awarded by SISU’s School of Business and Management and Spain’s ESIC Business and Marketing School, will be offered to students who finish studies at both schools and thesis defense of their dissertations at SISU.

75 percent of full-time students attending the program, which passed the EPAS (EFMD Program Accreditation System) international certification in the early 2016, are foreigners from eleven countries including Spain, France, Sweden, Mexico, Argentina and Italy, by March 2016.

In the morning part of the orientation, Fan Yuchan, director of International Affairs Department, gave the students basic information about living and learning at SISU. Xu Junling, teacher of SISU Academic Department, gave a specific introduction of the MBA academic requirement. Zhou Yueyun, director of Student Affairs Department, introduced student activities and career services.

In the afternoon part of the orientation, the program’s Chinese students and international students participated in a networking activity. In the activity, the students were divided into five groups and were named differently for competition. A group was named “YOLOSH” which means “You only live once (in Shanghai)”. The Chinese students also led foreign students to travel across the campus.
