SISU students win Shanghai universities joint recruitment competition

hree students of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) won the first place at the final of 2016 Shanghai 13-universities Joint Recruitment Competition on May 30, 2016.

The competition, aiming to ease graduates’ job hunting difficulties through solving the questions raised by representatives of university graduates and to build up a meaningful and valuable public service platform for graduates, has attracted more than 1,000 student competitors from Shanghai’s 13 universities. It has three parts – preliminary contest, preliminary contest, quarter-final, and final contest.

The SISU winners are Jiao Jingquan of School of Law, Ying Yu of School of Economics and Finance, and Li Chenxi of School of English Studies.

SISU cooperated with the Joint Recruitment Competition this year to hold the ninth SISU Mock Recruitment Competition on campus firstchoosing qualified students paired to take municipal finals. The municipal competition was held by Recruitment Brothers with 13 famous universities in Shanghai, including SISU, Fudan University and Jiaotong University.

In 2011, SISU established the Center for Career Development affiliated to the Office of Student Affairs to enhance students’ comprehensive ability from a career perspective, helping them set vocational goals and make clear career planning.
