wo Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) student on April 23 won prizes in the second Chinese-Speaking Teaching Competition in areas of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.
The final still had 30 competitors from China and abroad after a series of strict selections by 16 judges, including teaching design, teaching materials, three-minute presentation, 10-minute trial teaching, 1-minute self-reflection and a Q&A session.
Chinese student Cai Siyu and Ukraine student Mira, who are both from SISU’s School of Chinese Studies and Exchange, took the second place in the competitive group of Chinese students, and won the award of excellence in the competitive group of foreign students, respectively. Li Qianping, one member of the competition’s jury, was their leading teacher.
Other competitors come from Fudan University, East China Normal University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai University, Nanjing University, Soochow University, Yangzhou University, Zhejiang Normal University, Tongji University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Southeast University.
The competition was hosted by Master Degree International Association of Chinese-language education and was organized by Nanjing University, with SISU being one of important members of the association in areas of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.
