he 15th Advanced Chinese Program of Monash University holds in Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) on November 30th. Professor Zhang Yanli, dean of SISU’s School of Chinese Studies and Exchange (SCSE), Yao Yuan, as a representative of teachers, and 94 Monash students from Australia attend.
Zhang introduce the history and feature of SISU, and focus on the degree programs. In respect of international education, Zhang brief all in faculty, the total number of overseas students and international cooperative universities.
Zhang hopes that all international students would grasp the opportunity of the overseas further education on behalf of all staffs of faculty, and wish them to acquire Chinese diligently, learn about Chinese culture, and make more local friends, enjoying a happy, unforgettable and fruitful study aboard time.
Yao told them basic information of Chinese courses and teaching and made a request of the rules they necessitate obedience in classes, attendance and tests.
Chen Kaiyong and other staff in SCSE provided more information of safeguarding as well.
After the speech, the students have a detailed understanding of basic information, the condition of two campus in Hongkou and Songjiang and scholarship program especially for international students.
Monash University is one of the largest national universities in Australia, its strength ranks top in fields, being a world-renowned and integrated research university. Thanks for mutual works, SISU has been cooperating with Monash for 15 times until this years, and the program maintains stable and gains a good fruit.
