stray cats naming activity recently drew attention of many students in Shanghai International Studies University (SISU).
The activity was launched by Thumbible Plus SISU, a campus information platform nd SISU Zhiyuan Club, one of the most outstanding charitable student organizations of SISU. It was in order to arouse student from naming stray cats in SISU’s dormitory area.
Every student who names the cat or votes for the name will contribute one yuan to buying cat food. The vote lasts for one week. The most popular name will be painted on cats’ food bowl.
“We received forty or fifty names from students, including some interesting name like ‘Yuan xiao’”said Huang Jiaxin, one of the student director of Thumbible Plus SISU .
“I like charity and I like cats as well. You can help cats by taking only one yuan in this way.” said Ding Yameng, a member of Zhiyuan Club.
The goal of this crowdfunding is to receive 500 yuan. Up to mid October more than one thousand students took part in the crowdfunding activity.
