On March 21, 2013, Prof. Hans-Jochen Schiewer, Rector of University of Freiburg, visited SISU’s Hongkou campus and was greeted by professor Cao Deming, President of SISU. President Cao gave the visiting guests an overview of SISU, its disciplinary structure, its international cooperation and exchange programs. Rector Hans-Jochen Schiewer expressed his hope to strengthen exchanges of students and teachers between two universities. Both parties signed memorandum of understanding between Department of German, University of Freiburg and Faculty of German, SISU. The memorandum involves Master and PhD. Programs, teachers’ training, expert exchanges and other academic cooperation. The cooperation will be supported by the German Academic Exchange Service financially.
